Ever wonder what you can do with those extra bits of wrapping paper left over from gift wrapping? Wonder no more! This recycled wrapping paper Christmas card idea is card worthy for anyone! You might even want to get right in there and make some yourself!
- Wrapping paper
- Marker (optional)
1- Collect pieces of wrapping paper. For tree shapes, try and cut the pieces into graduating sizes as trees make that triangular shape.
2- Begin with which ever size paper you’d like and trace outlines of tree shape if needed. For some we did fully 8×10 size and for others, it was more 4×5 size for thank you cards.
3- Glue pieces of wrapping paper on to paper in tree shape. For younger children, you may need to monitor and discuss more size and length comparisons. Also an excellent opportunity to discuss shape descriptions.
4- Totally Christmas card worthy and homemade! Does it get much better than that?!
5- *As another option, you could use recycled artwork and cut different lengths of pieces to make tree shapes.
Depending on the occasion, you could also use different gift wrap themes. You could use birthday paper wrapping paper for balloons for example.
